Ellisse Screen System

Ellisse is a dynamic or static solar shading panel system that offers architects and contractors a versatile and practical solution to managing solar radiation and privacy, whilst adding a modern architectural aesthetic.

Ellisse provides protection from the heat and glare of the sun, whilst providing seclusion to people inside the building.

A wide range of louvre types are available, depending on the building’s functional needs and the aesthetic requirements of the architect.

Ellisse panels can be installed at virtually any orientation.

The supporting system

Ellisse is available either as static, sliding or vertically or horizontally folding panels, with either fixed angle or adjustable angle blades.

Operable blades are pivoted in UV-stable bushes and rollers. These are located in hollow aluminium extrusions and require little maintenance. They are also designed to compensate for thermal expansion.

The frames are operated either manually or by an electric actuator within a continuously sliding rail which is available in virtually any size. They can also be automated by Colt sun tracking control system.

Screens with louvres

Louvres inside the frames are able to be turned to a maximum of 85° by hand. There are four kinds of louvres materials options:

  • Aluminium louvres are manufactured from extruded, corrosion-resistant aluminium profiles made of AlMgSi0.5 alloy either with an elliptical or a C-shape.
  • Wooden louvres are manufactured from Western red cedar and can be either elliptical or oblong in shape.
  • Louvres are also available in glass.
  • Louvres are also available with perforated fabricated metal sheets.
  • All pins, screws and washers are made from stainless steel.
